Patoranking Jumps On Konshens & Dre Skull's 'Gal Ting' Riddim Remix

Nigerian dancehall star Patoranking jumps on Konshens & Dre Skull's "Gal Ting," for a Lagos meets Kingston & NY remix of the party track.

A few months ago, Mixpak Records producer and label head Dre Skull – the man behind recent Vybz Kartel and Popcaan albums — released Blacklight Riddim, a dancehall EP inspired by the Dembow two-bar loop, a kick-snare combination birthed across Kingston and New York that became the calling card of reggaeton. The standout take on Dre Skull's Blacklight Riddim beat (which featured interpretations from QQ, Spice, and Tifa) came in the form of Konshens' "Gal Ting," an addictive single which took off in Jamaica over the summer. This new version sees Nigerian dancehall star Patoranking jumping on "Gal Ting" for a breezy, Lagos meets Kingston & Brooklyn reworking of the party track packed with syncopated beatwork and warped synths. Stream the new remix from Konshens, Dre Skull and Patoranking premiering below and out just in time for Notting Hill Carnival and Labor Day Parade.
