K.O Releases ‘Killa Combo’ Featuring Zingah, Loki, Tellaman and Mariechan

Listen to the first single released under K.O's new imprint Skhandaworld.

The last time we spoke to K.O., he revealed that one of his goals for the year is to launch Skhandaworld, a newly launched imprint founded by the South African emcee. The up-and-coming rapper Loki was a top priority as he is the first signee under the label.

"Possibly the first single that I'm going to drop top of the year is going to be 'Better Choices,'" he said at the time, "and that is strategically because I want to launch Loki, the homie that's featured on the record. I want to launch him through that, and then maybe a year later you're going to hear his own single, and then that's when we are going to officially announce the launch of the new label, which is Skhandaworld."

Well, that was then. Last week Friday, the first release from Skhandaworld landed and of course it featured Loki, it was just not "Better Choices." The collaborative single "Killa Combo" features an unpredictable lineup—alongside K.O, the rappers Zingah and of course Loki, alongside the singers Tellaman and Mariechan (from Jamali).

On "Killa Combo," each guest dedicates their verse to an individual who they feel they make a killa combination with. The verses range from lovey dovey to NSFW sexual innuendos courtesy of K.O.

Skhandaworld is the second label K.O has launched. Prior to signing a deal with Sony, the rapper and producer also doubled as a label head. He ran Cashtime Life, which was one of the defining labels of the 2010s in South African hip-hop—housing the likes of Kid X, Moozlie, Ma-E and a few others.

Hopefully, Skhandaworld will make that huge an impact in the 2020s.
