South African Plus-Size Model Breaks Down After Getting Fat Shamed at SA Fashion Week

The South African social media sensation Lesego Legobane has had it with her critics.

South African model, photographer and influencer Lesego Legobane just can't catch a break.

Last month, she made international headlines when she clapped back at a body shamer.

Yesterday, she was again body-shamed. This was after she made her runway debut at the South African Fashion Week event.

Legobane is no stranger to body shaming. She has been able to deal with the cyber-bullying, but yesterday, it got too much for her to handle. When a video of her on the runway was posted, the vitriol came in the comments section.

"I usually don't give a fuck, but tonight, I am sad. On one of my best days. I am sad," she tweeted. Support came from her followers, and some personalities such as rappers Cassper Nyovest and Riky Rick, who told her to keep her head up.

"If you guys are tired, imagine how I feel," she carried on tweeting. "I've taken it all in for four years without giving a fuck, but yesterday, oh baby."

While some people tweeted message of support, others called her out for her similar behavior from a few years ago, in which she was skinny shaming.

The tweet has since been deleted, but screenshots are forever. Legobane is a changed person, but she feels people won't forgive her.

"This bullying that I am a part of? What is it? The 2013 tweet I apologized for in 2014 / 2015/ 2016/ 2017? Again, I am deeply sorry," she tweeted in response to being called out for being a cyber bully herself.
