Kenya's ever popular Just A Band rose to the occasion when 2 Norwegian filmmakers challenged the trio to produce a music video with 5 restrictions for their documentary, The Creative Challenge (it would seem creatively obstructing but not with these guys). In the doc, the music video for "Huff & Puff" (above) is taken from concept to post-production as we get insight into the creative minds of Blinky, Dan, & Jim. The guys take us from ideas of booty-popping and Moulin Rouge to the finished music video which is a hybrid of J.Lo & Vaudeville performers stranded in the Sahara - if you can dig it. Fun, insightful, and moving at times, watch as the guys explore parts of their creativity and self-expression they didn't know existed. Stream the full documentary HERE on Buni TV!
Just A Band will be kicking it in Brooklyn this weekend, so if you're looking for something to take your minds off NYC's crazy rainstorms, Weeksville Garden Party is where it's at this Saturday July 28th...unless of course it rains, which in any case you should still come out!
