British-Nigerian Actor Zackary Momoh Will Star in the Upcoming HBO Series 'The Nevers'

The breakout star has been cast as a regular in the Victorian-era series.

After having his first phenomenal performance in the Emmy award-winning series Seven Seconds where he starred alongside Russell Hornby and Regina King, Zackary Momoh has landed a number of significant roles since then. Towards the beginning of the year, Momoh landed a role in Doctor Sleep, the sequel to the 1980 horror film The Shining, and is set to hit theaters in January of next year.

The actor will also be starring in the recently announced biopic of Harriet Tubman alongside Cynthia Erivo and fellow British-Nigerian actress Deborah Ayorinde. Even more recently, it's been reported that Momoh has been cast as a series regular in the upcoming Victorian-era HBO series The Nevers.

The Nevers, which will be written, directed and executive produced by Joss Whedon,is a sci-fi series that will tell the story of a group of Victorian women who have unusual abilities, quite a number of enemies and a plan that could see them changing the world as they know it.

Momoh will play the role of Doctor Horatio Cousens, a successful West Indian physician whose life is turned upside down when he discovers his own unusual ability after meeting Amalia True who is played by lead actress, Laura Donelly.

Speaking about the upcoming series, Casey Bloys, President of Programming at HBO said that, "We look forward to meeting the strange, multifaceted characters of 'The Nevers,' to learn their stories, see them in action and share them with our viewers."
