Burna Boy’s sophomore album On a Spaceship just dropped and with it come two new songs featuring fellow Naija heavyweights Wizkid and Wande Coal. On “Single,” Burna Boy and Wizkid team up to deliver a dancehall-tinged banger about their experiences with single girls. “On A Very Good Day” is a slightly grittier cut, which sees Burna and Wande Coal trading verses in Yoruba and Pidgin atop bass-heavy production. Both songs are tailored for the dance floor, and feature Burna’s signature genre-bending sound.

The artist speaks about his distinctive musical style and his role in shaping Nigeria’s current musical climate in an interview with the Fader. “I kind of brought back everything you hear now. I kind of started all this shit, all the dancehall sounds. My genre of music is called Afro-Fusion because I fuse different types of music into a ball. There’s dancehall, there’s R&B, there’s hip-hop, there’s Afrobeats—that’s all that makes Burna Boy, really.”
