Catch Adekunle Gold & The 79th Element at DC's Howard Theater!

OkayAfrica is excited to present Adekunle Gold and The 79th Element for the first time at DC's historic Howard Theatre on August 9th.

The Nigerian singer-songwriter will be performing his signature blend of urban highlife and pop-infused songs. Proudly weaving together Yoruba, English and Pidgin English, Adekunle Gold's soulful Afropop will keep you feeling inspired all night long.

Adekunle Gold has served us with incredible tracks and visuals this year. Just after he and his wife, fellow Nigerian musician Simi, dropped the joint track "Promise", he followed that up with his first solo track of the year "Before You Wake Up," a romantic jam. He more recently dropped the dope music video for his latest single "Kelegbe Megbe" (translates to "know your level").

He will be joined by rising Nigerian artist Mannywellz.
