Afrographique: Using 'Visual Literacy' to Chart Africa
<p>Data analysis just got a lot more colorful. Art Director <strong>Ivan Colic</strong> has developed "<a href="http://afrographique.tumblr.com/">Afrographique</a>,"a great blog dedicated to coupling imaginative design with information. The concept for his site is based on something Colic calls "visual literacy," which basically means turning complicated numbers into rad graphics about the African continent. For examples, "Africa's Top Ten Websites" infographic (above - where is Okayafrica.com?), and "South African Soccer Club Colors" (below).</p><p>We like Colic's work because it speaks to the changing global perception of Africa.
