Asante's 'Drop Money' Is Your Weekend Soundtrack

Get into sleek boy, Asante's new afrobeats-meets-R&B EP.

Asante is a Detroit-based, Ghanaian-rooted artist who landed on our radar with the Sango-produced single "Run You Mad."

Asante is releasing his new sleek boy EP today and to mark the occasion he's dropping the video for "Drop Money," one of the new release's highlights that's tailor-made for the dance floor.

The song's music video, which we're premiering here, is a lively affair that features some of Detroit's best afrobeats dancers.

Watch Our Premiere of Asante's New Visual for 'Run You Mad'

Featuring Charlie G and dancers Odili & Uche in a boxing gym and the desert.

Detroit-based, Ghanaian-rooted artist Asante is readying the release of his upcoming EP, sleek boy, which is coming in August.

Just last week, we premiered the first single off that EP, "Run You Mad," which features Asante linking up with producer Sango for a "song about knowing the damage you could do to someone in a relationship you're unfit for when the other person wants it," as he told us back then.

We now get the brand new music video for "Run You Mad," which was shot at across Los Angeles and Detroit, and was directed by Cylent.
