DIASPORA—RedRed is a duo formed by Ghanaian songwriter M3NSA, of FOKN Bois fame, and Hungarian producer ELO.
<p>The group, who are named after the popular dish, come through with the stellar new single, "Sisimbo," a track that pairs uplifting electronic beatwork with soaring vocals and a Ghanaian twist, making it the perfect jam for your weekend.</p><p>The song's striking music video, which you can check out above, follows the group to Sri Lanka's rivers and oceans.</p><p></p><p dir="ltr">RedRed tells <em>OkayAfrica </em>that "Sisimbo" was "inspired by a (sea) shanty sung by Akan fishermen in Ghana to coordinate rowing."</p><p></p><p dir="ltr">"Our recreation of Sisimbo went through many transformations as the band itself developed and tried to tap into our ever-morphing sound," the band mentions.</p><p><div class="preroll-video"></div><ora-player></ora-player></p><p></p><p dir="ltr">"The video was shot on the Southwestern tip of Sri Lanka with a little twist, where the fishermen don’t even go fishing on boats.
