Mvroe & Joseph Kiwango Drop ‘Freaky,’ a Perfect Summer Tune About That Special Lady

“It's a feel good summer sundowner tune that will def get you thinking about that special lady,” says Mvroe.

Kenyan artist Mvroe’s “Freaky,” a collaboration with Tanzania’s Joseph Kiwango, is about devotion to a freaky partner.

“Never gonna give you up,” Mvroe sings on the chorus over a recurring marimba and electronic bass line, riffing on the now internet famous Rick Astley song.

"Freaky" was written by Mvroe alongside his East African Wave collaborators Hiribae and Ukweli, with additional vocals from Kiwango.

“Freaky” is a perfect soundtrack for summer love, and Mvroe agrees. “It's a feel good summer sundowner tune that will def get you thinking about that special lady,” he says.

Listen to “Freaky” below and purchase it now here. Plus, check out the guys talking about the new single underneath.
