In his new single “Breaking My Heart,” Bajah laments the role that technology’s playing in modern love.
<p>Sierra Leonean star <a href="http://www.okayafrica.com/tag/bajah/" target="_blank"><strong>Bajah</strong> </a>(of Bajah + The Dry Eye Crew) is an old school romantic. In his new single “Breaking My Heart,” the singer & rapper laments the role that technology’s playing in modern love.</p><p>The song, produced by the Brooklyn's <strong><a href="http://www.okayafrica.com/tag/teleseen" target="_blank">Teleseen</a></strong>, pairs a 90s dancehall riddim and ‘afrobeats’ influences with Bajah’s West African delivery.</p><p>“Breaking My Heart is a song about missed connections in the digital age of romance,” Bajah tells <em>Okayafrica</em>. “Things can be misunderstood and we can just miss each other because of the way we are communicating… when you are traditional and romantic.”</p><p><div class="preroll-video"></div><ora-player></ora-player></p><p>“Sometimes that is not what is winning in the end and the nice guys and girls are having their hearts broken.
