Riky Rick's 'Boss Zonke' Video Features A Who's Who Of South African Street Culture

Watch the music video for South African Boyzn Bucks rapper Riky Rick's umswenko anthem "Boss Zonke," shot by Adriaan Louw.

In October 2014 Johannesburg rapper/producer Riky Rick (aka Rikhado Makhado) released the follow-up to his massive club-ready street anthems “Amantombazane” and "Nafukwa." Built on bouncing synthesizers and zig-zagging bass, the self-produced umswenko anthem "Boss Zonke" saw Mr. Makhado tout his impressive influence on the SA rap game. "Everything I do they wanna do, they wanna do. Everything I say they wanna say, they wanna say," he sang on the song's infectious hook. Today the Boyzn Bucks rapper premiered an ambitious video for the track. Shot by Cape Town-based photographer/director Adriaan Louw from We-Are-Awesome Film (the two previously worked together on the larger-than-life "Nafukwa"), the three-city clip features a who's who of SA street culture influencers and Boyzn Bucks fam and friends across Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. Stay tuned for more news on Riky Rick's debut album Family Values, and watch the "Boss Zonke" video below.
