We've been heavy into the Beat Making Lab series since their music production / education projects in Congo and Senegal. In their latest trip, producer Apple Juice Kid and Pierce Freelon flew to Ethiopia to work with the IntraHealth global health organization in an effort to use “hip-hop as a medium to spread awareness about health issues.” This second Ethiopia episode continues the story of Gelila, the 21 year-old singer and aspiring beatmaker we previously met, as she writes and lays down her uplifting vocals over the class' beat.
