Iyanya And Diamond Platnumz Share The Video For 'Nakupenda'

"Kukere" master Iyanya has released a new video for "Nakupenda," his collaborative single with Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz.

Iyanya has released a video for "Nakupenda," his collaborative single with Tanzania's Diamond Platnumz. This isn't the first time the Nigerian artist has collaborated with the Tanzanian star to deliver a dance-heavy, flashy production. The new Patrick Ellis-directed video follows Iyanya and Diamond are they chill poolside at a mansion with women, daiquiris and white pants. These two know how to do summer.

Iyanya spoke about his stylistic change from rap and R&B to afrobeats with Okayafrica last fall: "It’s me challenging myself and also knowing that every artist has to be versatile, and the place that I worked too, where I did karaoke, also exposed me to a lot of genres — rumba, salsa, all that stuff. I was singing all those songs, all that Frank Sinatra, Opera and stuff, so I am just ready to do anything right now."

Check out Iyanya and Diamond Platnumz' video for the Mr. Chidoo-produced "Nakupenda" below.
