[embed width="560"][/embed]

Last Sunday, legendary South African musician Hugh Masekela, the multi-talented trumpeter, flugelhornist, cornetist, composer, and singer, visited Central Park's SummerStage at Rumsey Playfield for a wonderful outdoor concert. OKA was lucky enough to go behind the scenes and talk one-on-one with the man himself. Watch our short documentary (above), shot and directed by Yahya Ismail, in which Masekela challenges the notion of a "legend," reveals a lesson in humility, discusses being an international superstar and an African, and much more. For more perfect outdoor summertime performances, check out the programming for SummerStage right here.
