After teaming up with ProVerb and M.anifest on powerhouse collab "Proverb's Manifest," South Africa's Mananz adds his supreme boom-bap flavors to a rework of "One For The Money," a slick contribution to Coalmine Records' Unearthed compilation from Okayplayer favorites Royce da 5'9", Skillz and Diamond D. The Cape Town beatsmith absorbs the G-Squared-produced heater and flips it with expert precision, supplanting the monstrous horns and echoing strings of the OG take with some hard blues licks and a scaling synthesized refrain leading into the hook. It's a masterful rework of a track that would already make you sweat. Unearthed is an independent hip-hop fan's golden goose and this Mananz flipped flame is a clear standout.
