YoungstaCPT has just released yet another single off of his debut album 3T. "Old Kaapie," produced by the super producer trio Ganja Beats, has just been treated to visuals to highlight it.

"Old Kaapie" sends a message of encouragement to Coloured people to shed off the stereotypes placed on them by society, and take over the world. As YoungstaCPT raps on the first verse:

"This is something that you need to hear aloud/ Brown mense, the world is ours/ But those in power never will allow"

The song's title is symbolic— "Old Kaapie" is a homonym of "Okapi," a knife brand that's prevalent in the streets of South Africa. Coloured people are usually stereotyped to be gangsters. The emcee flips the concept around, and says that his race are fighters for survival and are sharp (like an Okapi)—he continues with the symbolism when he raps, "Every word I say is like Minora blades."

In the video, the emcee rocks the infamous orange overall worn in South African prisons while holding an Okapi in his hand. The backdrop is, of course, his people and a depiction of life in the hood—this time around Eldorado Park.

You'll spot accomplished dancer Taryn Alberts, whose moves are aggressive—in line with the song's mood and message of reclaiming one's strength and identity in a world that refuses to give anyone what they deserve and fought for.
