South African comedian Trevor Noah will be hosting this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony, making it his fifth straight time serving as master of ceremonies for “music’s biggest night.” Noah first hosted the Grammys in 2021, an edition held when social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic was still in effect.
arguably Noah’s best showing
Noah’s fifth time hosting ties him with iconic American rap artist and actor LL Cool J for the third most time hosting the Grammy, and it will leave him two editions away from tying American singer Andy Williams, who hosted the Grammys a record seven times.
Noah will be tasked with delicately MCing this year’s Grammys after the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. The Grammys decided to go on with its ceremonies, as Recording Academy President Harvey Mason Jr. has said this year’s event will “not only honor the artistry and achievements of our music community but also serve as a platform to amplify the spirit of resilience that defines this great City of Los Angeles.”
