Jimmy Goes To Nollywood is the latest in Netflix’s recent offering of films pertaining to the African diaspora. The Jimmy in the film is Jimmy Jean-Louis, the Haitian actor best known for playing “the Haitian” on Heroes, who in April 2012 found himself in Lagos hosting the Africa Movie Academy Awards.

In the documentary, which he co-directed and produced, Jean-Louis visits filmmakers and fellow actors in Nigeria and Ghana as he takes a closer look at the Nollywood film industry. The film includes interviews with the likes of O.C. Ukeje, Isaiah Washington, Lynn Whitfield, Akin Omotoso, Majid Michel, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Leila Djansi, Ebbe Bassey, Ama K. Abebrese and more.
